- we had a small family dinner to celebrate
- february and march birthdays
- at my house
- and all went well and
- the house is restored again
- we had a few laughs and tears
- and I met dear daughter's new dog
- very cute and spoiled but he
- left me no puddles
- Dogman taught him who is boss
- right from the beginning--LOL

RAINBOW DAY

and under the ''c''......
it is time to turn over another letter .......
and here is a ''c''....
the first 'c' for me is CHRIST CHILD- -- where would I be today if we/I had no Christ to believe in.......to lean on.....to follow.......to love.......to forgive us/me........ with out Christ in my life I would BE helpless....lost.....and hopeless but because of Christ I have hope and help and I am found...
another 'c' at our house is carrots-- not so much for me as for Dogman- he seems to think carrots are bought entirely for him - and yes, I wash them and peel them and cut them into nice little bites- he prefers raw over cooked but will gladly eat both-- so carrots are on the menu more nights than not..
a ''c'' for today is a cold as in a head cold - which means I talk funny and my nose is red and I should have took some stock in kleenex companies- this is day three so I should only have 4 days to go- I learned that if you go to a doctor with a cold it will last 7 days and if you do not go to a doctor- the cold will last a week.............
''c'' is for cinnamon which is one of my favorite smells and spices- I chew cinnamon gum and eat cinnamon candies and like cinnamon toast but I do not like cinnamon in my coffee and or tea
''c'' could be for coffee if I could drink but I have a allergy to the ground coffee which is not good thing......so that is why I drink tea......
''c'' is for chocolate - except for hot chocolate- I love chocolate chocolate but lately chocolate does not love me- apparently it is not quite as good as it should be to me - it is not good to my inflamed stomach or h. hernia- sigh- which means I am off of chocolate for a time....
''c'' could be for comma or commas but I never remember to use them in writing or talking.......so I will have to omit ''c'' is for comma ...........
there are many more ''c'' blessings in my life but I think the cold has put my thinking on hold..

SOME DAYS FOR MEME
a blank post.....or not:-)
I was trying to come up with something to write and nearly did not-- then I was still and heard this deep in my heart.....
---------------------------------------------------------
For me, some days are still hard.....and just going from the morning ....(mourning)......to the night seems like a struggle-- but only on some days-
I know that you, Lord are with me on these days as well as the good days-
I saw a little story about a widow who never over came her tragedy of her loss-She let hardness enter her heart---she was always cynical and negative=She did become lonely and stayed looking in-ward until her death. She missed living......so much to see and so much to doso much to hear and so much to be-
Lord, keep my mind stayed on Thee
and
let me not think of my sorrows as my score but my blessings instead- It's the little things
that are daily----that are just there-- automatic blessings

recipe for this week--angel eggs
I enjoy this recipe so wanted to share it with you- have a rainbow weekend--with hugs from me
-----------------
ANGEL EGGS WITH PARMESAN CHEESE
12 hard cooked eggs- cooled
1/4 cup grated fresh parmesan cheese-(you can use sharp cheddar cheese also)
4 table spoons mayonnaise
4 table spoons sour cream
pinch of salt- and pepper- both are optional -
Cut eggs in half - length ways - and remove yolks from eggs- cut tiny edge of whites to give flat bottom and set white halves a side-
add edges of white and yolks together and add the other ingredients-- Mash with fork until well mixed - if mixture appears dry- add a bit more mayo.
fill each egg white with approx. 1 (one) tablespoon of mixture-- and garish as desired-
(chopped fine parsley makes a nice color contrast)

you can also use recipe as egg salad for sandwiches by using all the whites in mixture and adjusting mayo-

COLD DAY
- I tried to be a couch potato today
- and it lasted until 4 o'clock
- but then I got tired of just laying
- around watching tv and reading etc.
- I think it is harder to see rainbows
- when one does nothing
- so I did get up and check
- out my rainbows
- we are cold but not as cold as the first cold
- little snow
- wind light
- sunshine
- so although the weather was not my favorite weather
- it was still a blessing
- our roof does not leak
- our pipes did not freeze
- food for our tummies
- clothes to wear to keep us warm
- home-much rather than homeless
- behold- the rainbows

rainbow weather
our weather is holding out with sunshine and
no more snow------
not a big day here as I am declaring war on my
kitchen and weeding
out stuff that just resides there
but does nothing useful for me
when papa hubby was here we used
bigger pots and pans and so on
I have decided to keep the house plants
and the tea pots-
and then I will choose to lose
to many things
I know there will be a rainbow at the end of cleaning

A NEW RAINBOW
MEME JUST BOUGHT A NEW RED PURSE-
IT WAS A BARGAIN BIN SALE ITEM-
AND IT JUST CHEERED ME UP - BOTH THE COLOR AND THE PRICE
--I NEED A BRIGHT COLOR FOR PURSES AS IT HELPS REMIND ME THAT I BROUGHT IT WITH ME--
AND I NEED ALL THE HELP I CAN GET (SMILE)
- AND ALSO I CAN FIND THINGS IN IT WITH EASE-AS THE INSIDE IS RED TOO- WHEN WE ARE OLDER AND HAVE POOR SIGHT IT IS HARD TO FIND SMALL ITEMS -
BECAUSE MY EYE SIGHT IS POOR; BLACK IS NOT A GOOD COLOR FOR ME
- THIS IS A CHEERY RED AND A NICE MEDIUM TO SMALL SIZE AND EVEN IF IT IS JUST A CHEAPO - IT WILL KEEP ME RED AND CHEERY FOR A LONG WHILE-
I LOVE RED SOCKS TOO BUT THAT IS ANOTHER STORY
AND THE CAPS HERE MEAN THAT I AM JUST HAPPY TO HAVE A NEW RED PURSE--LOL- AND it
-ALSO MEANS I FORGOT TO HIT THE UNLOCK BUTTON-
I believe that the Lord does bless us with small seemingly unimportant things to bring cheer into our life----I do not mean that we should be foolish or careless with our money or our time but that it is a good thing to give blessings to our selves now and then.
Rainbows are made of colors to brighten our lives and comes with the promise that we can trust Him
